More About Me...

Hi, I am Gavin Chiu, the founder and fund manager of Gavin Chiu Invest. I graduated from Curtin University, Perth in 2022 with majors in Marketing and Property.

Being born into a business family, I was taught about the importance of self-independence and spend only what I have. If wanted more, I would have to seek for ways to make that money. Those lessons shaped my desire to hunt for different ways to make side income for myself.

Stock trading and investments had been one of the methods I discovered which allows me to generate a consistent passive income. I first discovered about the idea of investing back in early 2020 where major news outlets like CNBC and Bloomberg were constantly sending me notifications about the stocks and indexes were crashing by 800-1000 points within a single day. My interests and subsequently passion towards stocks trading and investing started from there, and I went on to learn more about these ideas through YouTube and other relevant resources. Over the next few months, I have learnt, improvised, and developed my own set of trading tools and investment metrics which allowed me to generate a minimum pessimistic return of 2% monthly.

A couple of my friends saw what I had achieved through trading and investing, and they proposed to me that why don’t I start a fund so that they can put money into it, and I invest on their behalf. There comes the whole cycle of being a fund manager, and through word-of-mouth as well as social media promotion through LinkedIn, the fund has clocked an Asset-Under-Management (AUM) of USD $25,000 till date. I am super thankful for all the opportunities rendered to me and am looking forward to better growth ahead!
